How to import data in Outlook

For Outlook 2010

  1. It’s recommended that you disable Cached Exchange mode before performing an import.
  2. On the File ribbon tab, click Open, click Import.
  3. Click Import from another program or file, and then click Next.
  4. Select Personal Folder File (.pst) , and then click Next.
  5. Specify file name you wish to import data from, and then click Next.
  6. Select the folder you wish the data to be imported from.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. When import is complete enable Cached Exchange mode.

For Outlook 2002(XP) and Outlook 2003/2007

  1. It’s recommended that you disable Cached Exchange mode before performing an import.
  2. On the File menu, click Import and Export
    If the menu item is not available, hover your pointer over the down arrows at the bottom of the menu, and then click Import and Export.
  3. Click Import from another program or file, and then click Next.
  4. Select Personal Folder File (.pst) , and then click Next.
  5. Specify file name you wish to import data from, and then click Next.
  6. Select the folder you wish the data to be imported from.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. When import is complete enable Cached Exchange mode.

For Outlook 2000

  1. On the File menu, click Import and Export
    If the menu item is not available, hover your pointer over the down arrows at the bottom of the menu and then click Import and Export.
  2. Click Import from another program or file, and click Next.
  3. Select Personal Folder File (.pst) , and then click Next.
  4. Specify file name you wish to import data from, and then click Next.
  5. Select the folder you wish the data to be imported from.
  6. Click Finish
